  • Executive Secretary of Tanzania Commission for Universities Prof. Charles Kihampa gives a keynote speech to personnel responsible for Admissions process in Higher Learning Istitutions, during a one-day Post-Admission meeting to deliberate and receive feedback on among others Quality Assuarance issues in the 2019/2020 admission process. The meeting was held in Dar es Salaam on 1st November, 2019.

  • TCU Director of Admission Coordination and Data Management Dr. Kokuberwa Katunzi-Mollel delivers a presentation on Issues and Challenges in the 2019/2020 Admission process. TCU is mandated among others things, to coordinate admissions of students into Higher Learning Institutions.

  • The Chairman of the Tanzania commission for Universities (TCU) Prof. Mayunga Nkunya (left) delivers a presentation on Programme Benchmarks, their Components and Development Processes, during a training workshop held at Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) Morogoro on 3rd October, 2019. The training coordinated by TCU aimed at enabling participants to effectively participate and play an active role in the development of programme benchmarks in relation to curriculum development.

The Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) is a body corporate established on  1st July 2005, under the Universities Act 2005 (Chapter 346 of the Laws of Tanzania) with mandate to recognize, approve, register and accredit Universities operating in Tanzania, and local or foreign University level programs being offered by registered higher education institutions. It also coordinates the proper functioning of all university institutions in Tanzania so as to foster a harmonized higher education system in the country. Read More
