The Commission among other things, is mandated to ensure that all programmes offered in the university institutions are accredited and meet the required standards. Any university institution wishing to offer a new curriculum or wishing to revise the existing curricula must submit the curricula to TCU for accreditation purposes.

The Commission has developed an online system known as Programme Management System (PMS) for submission of new and revised Curricula. The Commission has also put in place a General frame work to be followed and procedure for curriculum accreditation to be observed by university institutions.
